Research
The Lorenger Research Institute is opening a November 2008 evening research study to look at Fatigue from various causes in women.
Important: The Lorenger Research Institute does not diagnose or prescribe for medical or psychological conditions nor claim to prevent, treat, mitigate or cure such conditions. Practioners of The Lorenger Research Institute are not licensed medical doctors.
Criteria
Study participants must meet all of the following:
- Be a woman between the ages of 21 and 70
- Feel fatigue that occurs on a regular basis and feels more severe or on going than what could be explained through normal daily activities.
- Be internet-enabled and willing to communicate primarily through email or an email discussion group
Required Activities
Participants in the study will be asked to do the following over several sessions:
- Attend an orientation session to learn about Human Bioacoustics and vocal profiling
- Speak into a microphone for several 45-second recordings of the voice
- Attend a follow-up session to receive their Vocal Profiling Assessment
- (optional, based on participant interest) Attend sessions to test and then receive re-balancing sound frequencies - up to 5 sessions max
- Agree to allow their data to be anonymously compiled and shared for the purpose of continuing to develop the intelligence of the software
As part of the study, Participants will receive:
- $20 cash as a thank you gift for participating
- A complimentary Vocal Profiling Assessment ($125 value)
- Up to 5 complimentary re-balancing sessions ($50 value per session, $250 total value)
Study dates
Individual appointments will be scheduled for evenings in November (excluding Thanksgiving Week)and early December. Most appointments will start by 7 p.m. and end by 9 p.m.
Study Location
All sessions will be held in the lab for The Lorenger Research Institute which is located in Cameron Park, CA.
NOTE: The lab is a small, compact office. While the office complex does have a shared waiting room, children should not be left unattended. Please make alternate childcare arrangements if you would like to participate in this study.
